Enjoy our Southland Deaf Community in Invercargill
Established in 1957, the Southland Deaf Community aims to unite the deaf community in Invercargill & Southland by providing a welcoming space for both the hard of hearing and those with regular hearing. Our vision is to promote sign language, creating a supportive environment for learning, sharing and communication.
We host regular monthly gatherings, maintain an active online presence through our Facebook group, and coordinate various events and activities that allow our friendly community to come together.
